Be Slow to Speak

Ecclesiastes 5:2

Do not be rash with your mouth and let not your heart utter anything hastily before God.

Two Is Better

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him.

We work better together.

When we fall (by the way we all do), we have someone there to help us back up.

Not Your Own...Bought at a Price

I Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

God's Holy Spirit dwells in our bodies.

We do not belong to ourselves.

The way we carry ourselves and how we treat ourselves should reflect what's on the inside of us.

Jesus died that we may have the Holy Spirit.

With that in mind we should glorify God in our body and spirit.

Serve with Gladness

Psalm 100:1-3

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing, know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Praise Him With No Stipulations!

Psalm 98:4

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.

Please notice that there are no stipulations on the request for praise in this scripture.

The scripture does not say shout if you "feel" like it.

The scripture does not say break forth in song if all your bills are paid.

The scripture does not say rejoice and sing praises if everything in your life is all good right now.

There are no stipulations!

No matter what we are facing right now God is still worthy of all the praise!

So go ahead and shout, even if you have a sinus headache right now.

Go ahead and break forth in song even if your car is giving you trouble.

Go ahead and rejoice and sing praises if it looks like the walls are closing in on you right now.

Do it because God is still God!

Do it because He dwells in our praise.

If you are in a dark place right now, you need the light of His presence.

PRAISE HIM!!!

Do You Love Him?

I Corinthian 2:9

But as it is written: "Eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Prepared-organized; ready

God has things organized and ready for you that you have never seen.

Praise God for your "never so seen" blessing.

God has prepared for you things that have never been heard of before.

God is so awesome and infinite in His wisdom and ways that He has organized things that you have never thought of or even imagined in your heart.

Be Wise

Romans 16:19-20

Hope

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Confidence Like Job

Job 23:10-12

But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.


Power Points

Job had confidence that at the end of his tests, trials, and tribulations he would come out as gold (a precious element that is not subject to corrosion).

Precious-of great value; highly esteemed

Job knew that he would be valued by God because he held fast to God's steps.

Steps-to lift up the foot and put it down in a new position accompanied by shifting the body in the direction of a new position

We should be willing and obedient to move when God is ready to move.

Job knew that he would be highly esteemed because he kept God's ways and commands.

Way-manner, characteristics; methods, plans

No matter what he faced, Job did not curse God's methods or plans.

Because of his integrity towards God, Job was able to confidently say when this is over I will come forth as pure gold.

We should live life, holding to God's steps and keeping His way and commandments.

God Will

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Able- physically or mentally equipped to do something, especially because of circumstances

Grace- unmerited favor and love of God

Abound– be plentiful, thrive, flourish

Sufficiency- adequate, ample, enough, plenty


Power Points

Take comfort and joy in knowing that God can cause favor to be plentiful towards you.

You will always have plenty to complete every good work that is assigned to you.

God will equip you for the task.

He is able!!!!!

The Good of the Land

Isaiah 1:19

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.

• Willing -cheerfully consenting (approve, permit, agree; comply, yield), ready
• Obedient -to comply (to act or be in accordance with wishes, requests, demands, requirements, conditions) with or follow the commands
• Most of us want to "eat the good of the land." We try several things on our own to achieve this level in our lives.
• However the scripture tells us that if we act in agreement with the wishes, requirements, and conditions that God has placed on our lives, we will eat the good of the land!
• God wishes that we prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers. Be in agreement!
• God requires that we live (and love) right, give much, and pray always. Be in agreement!
• God allows certain conditions that we may grow because He has a perfect plan to prosper us, to give us hope and a future. WARNING: Some conditions may not be to our liking. But remember all things work together for good to those who love the Lord. Be in agreement!

Sing a New Song...Tell of His Goodness

Psalm 96:1-3

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his wonders among all the peoples.
