Do Good and Enjoy!

Ecclesiastes 3:12

Regard the Good Things

Romans 12:17

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

Power Points

This is a hard pill to swallow because in our flesh we want repay people for their evil words, evil looks, and evil deeds.

The word of God says that we are NOT to repay evil for evil.

We are to regard (look upon; have or show respect for; to think highly of; to take into account) good things.

LOVE, PRAY, GIVE

Romans 12:10-13

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Love right.

Serve the Lord.

Rejoice!

Be patient in time of trouble.

Keep praying.

Keep giving.

Cling to What is Good

Romans 12:9
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. (King James Version)

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.(New International Version)

I Thessalonians 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Power Points

Everyone makes mistakes. We all sin and come short of the glory of God.

God forgives us so we must forgive others.

Our love has to be sincere; genuine; real.

Hold on to the good

Focus on the good in a situation, person, or relationship.

You Are the Proof

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.


Power Points

As believers in Christ, we are foreigners to this world.

We can not conform(act in accord with the prevailing standards, attitudes, or values of a group or society) to this world.

We live by a different set of values.

We raise the standard.

We are transformed(changed in our appearance, condition, nature, and character) by the renewing of our minds.

Let us have the mind of Christ.

Presenting ourselves as living sacrifices, having a mind of Christ, and allowing God to use us positions us perfectly.

We are positioned to reveal God's glory in the earth.

We prove that God's will is good, acceptable and perfect!

Be honored today that God loves us enough to look past our shortcomings and use us for His glory.
