His Mercy and Compassion
Lamentations 3:22-23
22It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Mercy – compassion, sympathy, empathy, understanding
Consume – eat, use, burn; destroy, devour, devastate, torn down
Compassion – concern, consideration
Fail – be unsuccessful; stop working
New – recently made, created, or invented; replacing something of the same kind that already exists; changed, especially for the better; revived, different, improved, or more advanced form of something that already exists or existed before
Great – huge, enormous; absolute; countless; wonderful, magnificent, excellent
Faithful – unwavering in belief; believing firmly in something or somebody; consistently trustworthy and loyal, especially to a person, promise, or duty (syn. – true, realistic, authentic, close, accurate, exact, true to life, truthful, believable, loyal, devoted, dependable, dedicated, committed, reliable
Be confident today because of the Lord's mercy (compassion) toward you. You are not torn down. His concern for you will not stop. (HALLELUJAH) As a matter of fact his compassion toward you is more advanced, improved, and better than it was yesterday! His consistent trustworthiness and loyalty are huge. Be encouraged. No matter how it looks or feels to you right now, know that God is concerned about you.
