My Strength and Shield

Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.

The Lord is our strength and protection.

We can trust Him

He helps us.

Chasing After Him

Mark 2:1-5
And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
Verse 11-12
“I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

Power Points

Even though there was no room in the house, that did not stop the paralytic and his four friends.

When it appeared to be no way in, their faith pushed them to find a way to get to Jesus.

Jesus saw their faith.

The man's sins were forgiven and he was healed.

Against the odds we have to allow our faith to push us into our destiny.

We have to be willing to chase after Jesus no matter what the situation or circumstance looks like!

Show Me, Teach Me, Lead Me

Psalm 25:4-5
Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.

In this life we have to deal with uncomfortable situations and unfavorable circumstances.

Many times we attempt to handle these things on our own.

Be encouraged today to ask God for help.

Let our prayer be for God to show, teach, and lead us.

Let us be still and patiently wait for His answers, guidance, and salvation.

These powerful words of David still hold true for you and I today.

If we take a moment and look back, we will surely see how God's goodness and mercy has followed us.

God's goodness healed our bodies.

God's goodness provided for us and made a way out of no way.

God's goodness comforted us and kept us in perfect peace.

God's mercy kept us from hurting someone in the accident that was our fault.

God's mercy kept us from losing when we should have.

God's mercy allowed us to see today.

Looking back on what has followed us gives us hope that His goodness and mercy will continue to follow us.

Secret Faults

Psalm 19:12-13
Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.

We do things and make mistakes without malice or intent.

There are some faults that we are unaware of in our lives.

Let us not think that we are wise in our own eyes, but realize that we make errors.

He Heard You

Rest assured that He has a plan and it is perfect for you.

He will complete His will.

His word will accomplish that which He sent it forth to do.

You job is not to understand but to BELIEVE.

Get close to Him by reading His word and talking to Him. He will reveal His will to you when the time is right.

Favor and High Esteem

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck,write them on the tablet of your heart,and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.
