Ecclesiastes 3:12

Regard the Good Things

Romans 12:17

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

Power Points

This is a hard pill to swallow because in our flesh we want repay people for their evil words, evil looks, and evil deeds.

The word of God says that we are NOT to repay evil for evil.

We are to regard (look upon; have or show respect for; to think highly of; to take into account) good things.

LOVE, PRAY, GIVE

Romans 12:10-13

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Power Points

Love right.

Serve the Lord.

Rejoice!

Be patient in time of trouble.

Keep praying.

Cling to What is Good

Romans 12:9
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. (King James Version)

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.(New International Version)

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Power Points

Everyone makes mistakes. We all sin and come short of the glory of God.

God forgives us so we must forgive others.

Our love has to be sincere; genuine; real.

Hold on to the good

Focus on the good in a situation, person, or relationship.

You Are the Proof

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.


Power Points

As believers in Christ, we are foreigners to this world.

We can not conform(act in accord with the prevailing standards, attitudes, or values of a group or society) to this world.

We live by a different set of values.

We raise the standard.

We are transformed(changed in our appearance, condition, nature, and character) by the renewing of our minds.

Let us have the mind of Christ.

Presenting ourselves as living sacrifices, having a mind of Christ, and allowing God to use us positions us perfectly.

We are positioned to reveal God's glory in the earth.

We prove that God's will is good, acceptable and perfect!

Be honored today that God loves us enough to look past our shortcomings and use us for His glory.

It's Only Reasonable

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

Think about all that God is to us...savior, redeemer, and lover of our souls.

Think about all that He has done for us...provided, healed, kept, restored, made ways out of no way, led and guided us.

Think about the bright hope and future he has planned and promised us.

It is only reasonable to present ourselves to Him.

It is only reasonable that we live right.

It is only reasonable that we have faith in Him for it is impossible to please Him without faith.

It is only reasonable that we worship and praise Him. That is why He created us.

It is only reasonable that we love God, ourselves and our neighbors.

Shout Joyfully!

Psalm 95:1-3

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let come before his presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God. And the great King above all gods.

Flourish

Psalm 92:13-15

Fully Persuaded

Romans 8:38

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You Are a Conqueror!

Romans 8:35-37

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

God's love for us is deep.

No situation or circumstance should separate us from His love.

What we face does not matter because through Him we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS!

It Is Christ

Romans 8:34

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Man did not lay down his life and die for us...it is Christ.

Man did arise from the dead for us...it is Christ.

Man does not sit at the right hand of God and make intercession for us...it is Christ.

Therefore, who is man to condemn?

God justifies us through the blood of Jesus Christ, who can bring a charge against us?

God Justifies

Romans 8:33

Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

Power Points

Walk in your call no matter what anyone says.

Your past is just that... your past.

God is a loving and forgives those who repent of their sins.

God loves us so much that He allowed His son to die for our sins.

The blood of Jesus covers us.

We are justified, made guiltless or innocent, by grace through Jesus Christ.

Being justified by God does not give us a free pass to sin but it allows us to see how much God loves us.

That love transforms our hearts and minds to cause us to want to please God.

Who?

Romans 8:31

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

In the previous verses of Romans chapter 8, we are told that God foreknew, predestined, called, justified, and glorified us.

These things let us know that God is on our side. He is for us.

Well, if God is for us than who can be against us?

God has all power. He is all knowing, all seeing, and everywhere.

No one or nothing can stand against Him and prevail.

Yes, trials, persecutions, and tribulations will come...but only God will prevail!

Predestined, Called, Justified, and Glorified

Romans 8:29-30

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many bretheren, moreover whom He predestined, these He also called, whom He called, these He also justified, these He also glorified.

God foreknows (to know before hand).
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5
Just as God foreknew Jeremiah, He foreknows us as well.

God predestines (to set apart for a particular use).
You are not an accident or mistake. God had a particular purpose in mind for you before He created you.

God calls (command or request to come).
God invites us to operate in His divine purpose that He has designed. Will you answer the call?

God justifies (to declare innocent or guiltless).
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:9
We are justified by the blood of Jesus. We have the liberty to fully operate in our purpose.

God glorifies (to cause to be more splendid, excellent; to invest honor).
If we are children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. Romans 8:17
So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ as well as a partaker in the glory that is to be revealed. 1 Peter 5:1
When God glorifies a human being, he grants to that person the privilege of beholding his infinite beauty and becoming like him as much as a creature can.

ALL Things

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.


Power Points

We are not to doubt or be anxious.

Our responsibility is to love God.

He will cause all things to work together for good.

Help from the Spirit

Romans 8:26-27

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weakness. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

We can be so overwhelmed by life that we don't even know what to pray.

When we are weak, the Spirit is available to help.

The Spirit prays the will of God on our behalf.

Don't Waver!

Romans 4:20-21

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

Do not waver (show or feel doubt; become unsteady)at the promise of God.

Let your faith strengthen you (give you power).

Give God all the glory!

No matter what is looks or feels like God deserves glory.

Stand strong and bold on the word of God.

He has a perfect plan for your life.

Proverbs 18:21

Proverbs 18:16

A man's gift will make room for him. And brings him before great men.

God has placed unique gifts inside every one of us.

These gifts are to be used for His glory and to edify the kingdom.

At the appointed time your gift will spring forth.

God will make provision for that gift to thrive for all men to see His glory and be blessed by your gift.

God Alone

Psalm 62:5-6

Power Points

We must be sure to put our confidence in the right place.

People are placed in our lives to help us. Those people are placed there by God.

Putting our faith in people can lead to disappointment because people can and will let us down.

People change, however God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.

I Shall Not Be Moved

Psalm 62:1-2

Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
