My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.

We must be sure to put our confidence in the right place. People are placed in our lives to help us. Those people are placed there by God. Putting our faith in people can lead to disappointment because people can and will let us down. People change, however God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. God alone is our salvation.
