Present vs. Future

Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

What you are going through right now is not even worthy to be compared to the glory (great praise, honor, or distinction) that will be (in the future) revealed in you. Don't be mistaken about the world we live in; we will have trials, tribulations, and sufferings. But they are not even valuable enough to be compared to what we will see in us. So it is not necessary to spend your time on those things or to dwell in the area of depression, pity, guilt, or self-loathing. Instead praise Him for the glory to come. Look and focus on the things that are good.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philipians 4:8)
